Versatile cup
The first collaborative creation between GENTAG and Elise Momsen is a set of black ceramic cups that transcend their conventional purpose. Elise's design philosophy was driven by the desire to create objects that could serve multiple functions. These cups are not just vessels for your favorite cortado or cappuccino; they can also serve as versatile containers for pencils, flowers, or anything your imagination desires. The playful twist in their shape not only adds a unique touch but also offers the possibility of using the shape itself as a handle or an intriguing design element.
— Measurements: 5cm height / diameter approxiatemately 9cm
— Material & Process: Slip casted in a black stoneware clay. Slip casting is the process of pouring liquid clay into plaster molds, the plaster will then absorb the water in the clay and around the inner edge of the plaster mold you are left with your clay piece. They are then bisque fired before they are glazed with a transparent glaze and finally fired to 1260 degrees.
— Care: Dishwasher safe
— Production: Fåborg, South Funen, Denmark
PLEASE NOTE: Each cup is hand-made, hand glazed, so all of them have their own uniqueness
